Many of our children are orphans. Some are from AIDS affected families, and majority living in families barely able to cope. Education is such a key factor in helping vulnerable children, but education especially in rural parts of Uganda is hopelessly underfunded.

Developmental Programs
Of the 18.6 million orphaned children in Uganda, nearly 40% lost their parents to HIV/AIDS. In less educated areas, many of these children are abandoned out of fear of the disease.

Empowering girls is an important issue that needs to be addressed in every community, unfortunately, many poor girls around our communities are still facing discrimination and inequality, which can limit their opportunities and potential. However, there are many ways in which we can help empower girls and make a positive difference in their lives.
