We believe in investing in the future of Uganda and so education is the foundation of our work. Our locally-led and community-based model focuses on building sustainable schools that can become the epicentre of learning and transformation in the communities we work in.

Education Support Program

Education support is crucial for OVC programming, benefiting individual children and communities. Schools offer a safe, structured environment, emotional support, and social interaction. Education enhances employability and fosters competence. We work to identify and overcome barriers, with a focus on addressing challenges faced by girls in our communities.

Our Committment

We have and are committed to addressing the disproportionate levels of risk children face if they leave school at an early age. Schools must be made safe for children, especially girls. Children who may not be able to continue with formal education, we provide to them vocational skills for better livelihoods. The home has not yet secured enough funds to have children in boarding schools. As such most children are supported in local community schools. We have also built on the opportunity of free education to ensure that children affected by HIV/AIDS have access to education. Abigail Children Ministry is seeking funding and support to support girl empowerment and child sponsorship.
