Mision
To improve the welfare and well-being standards, show God’s love and restore hope for Orphans, Vulnerable Children, and children who come from families that are affected by HIV/AIDS epidemic and extreme poverty in Uganda.
Vision
Our vision is captured in the following six themes:
- Stewardship
We are committed to stewardship of finances and transparent accountability to our donors and supporters. Our vision is to install these values in the children under our care.
- Care of the Children
Our vision for Dream Children’s Home is to provide a safe, loving home environment for the children God has entrusted to us, including nutritious meals, creative playtime activities, superior education and complete medical care.
- Education
Our vision is to build and operate a complete Primary School where English, math, science, computer and life skills will be taught. We will care for the children until their ability-appropriate level of education (secondary school, trade school, university) is complete, then provide one year of living expenses. These endeavours will prepare the children to enter the Ugandan workforce as self-sustaining productive citizens.
- Community Outreach
Our vision is to seek ways to demonstrate God’s love for others in Uganda and all over the world.
- Additional Children’s Homes or Programs
Our vision is to continue developing DMU with a longer-term view of establishing additional homes as we are blessed with provision and funding. Although a different living arrangement model may be adopted, Dream Children’s Home is the base from which future child care will be administered and training provided for future staff.
- Sponsor a Child
For only $30 per month, you can sponsor a child and help ensure the continued operation of Dream Children’s Home in Uganda.
Unlike some sponsorship programs, where the children live at their home (usually with their parents) and the sponsor provides a modest supplement, Dream Children’s Home provides for the entire care of the children entrusted to us due to their dire situation at home. This care includes accommodations, food, clothing, medical care, playtime equipment, biblical discipleship and primary through post-secondary education. In order to cover the operating costs for these complete services, a sponsor is necessary for each child.
You will receive a photo and brief biography, plus annual updates on the progress of your sponsored child. You will also be able to send letters, photos and birthday cards to your sponsored child. We encourage sponsors to communicate with these children as they cherish connections with those who lovingly donate on their behalf.
Note: Child sponsorship donations are not used for the specific benefit of a particular child as donations are pooled and used for the benefit of all of the children entrusted to our care.
